Erica Yslas, MS, OTR/L

Ever since she was a little girl, Erica Yslas desired a profession helping others. She discovered her love of occupational therapy in high school and went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Services. She continued with her dream and received her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from California State University Dominguez Hills in 2010. During her graduate studies, Erica completed her fieldwork at Children’s Hospital of Orange County and Saddleback Memorial Hospital’s Outpatient Rehabilitation Center in Laguna Hills. Over the course of her studies, she was able to further her experience and preparation by incorporating herself with various opportunities to gain hands-on experience and aid in the rehabilitation of young children, adolescents, adults, and elderly populations. She has worked with children with various diagnoses, including, but not limited to developmental delays, feeding or oral motor difficulties, Down syndrome, Dysfunction of Sensory Integration, Sensory Modulation/Anxiety Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorder, as well as Autism Spectrum Disorders. Despite working with individuals of all ages, her passion has always been and continues to be children. She acquires satisfaction assisting others and working to achieve their goals. Erica is slowly, yet actively trying to learn and understand Spanish.
Erica enjoys spending her time with her family and friends; especially her daughter, who she and her husband welcomed in 2013.
